Kevin Love scored 10 points (4-for-14 FGs, 2-for-7 3PTs) with seven boards and three assists in 31 minutes on Monday night.
He was injured in the conference finals last season. What’s his excuse this time? After posting monster stat lines against the Hawks, Love has disappeared against the Raptors. Monday was still an improvement over his Game 3 performance (three points on 1-of-9 shooting), but nearly anything would be better. Love needs to be relevant if the Cavs want to take down the Raptors and beyond.
J.R. Smith couldn’t help but go cold on Monday night as well. Smith shot 3-for-11 from beyond the arc (3-for-12 from the field overall) with two rebounds and one assist in 32 minutes. That’s a lot of playing time for someone playing ineffective. Kevin Love and J.R. Smith need to shoot their way back in to the series. They will be back in Cleveland for Game 5 on Wednesday.
