Klay Thompson tallied six points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks on 2-of-11 shooting in 38 minutes as the Warriors stormed back to win Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals vs. the Spurs.
Thompson couldn’t find his shot tonight, which is rare for him, but he contributed in others areas of the game such as steals and blocks. He went 1-of-3 from behind the arc tonight, and the fact that he only took three 3-pointers total probably meant that he wasn’t trying to force it when he knew he just didn’t have it tonight. Another factor could’ve been the defense being played by Danny Green, who is known as an above average defender, but no one has ever really been able to neutralize Klay’s shot, so it was probably just a typical bad game for him. He’ll definitely be one of the driving factors in helping the Warriors overcome the Spurs, and he could be in for some big nights if Kawhi Leonard misses time.
