The Knicks have discussed trading Kyle O’Quinn before the trade deadline on February 9, according to Marc Berman.
There is a log-jam at center and Willy Hernangomez is growing restless. The 27-year-old O’Quinn has the option to opt out of his contract (which he would likely do) during the summer offseason, so the Knicks can either make a move or let him walk for nothing. The team is asking for a prospect under the age of 25 or a pick in the draft. If O’Quinn does get traded, Hernangomez would immediately enter the back up center role behind Enes Kanter.
