Kyle Kuzma was awarded the NBA Summer League Championship Game MVP for dropping 30 points and six treys on Monday against the Blazers.
Kuzma impressed during his Summer League action and was asked to step up and carry the load with Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart all sitting this game out. He did hitting 6-of-10 from deep and 11-of-16 from the field. During his seven games of play this summer he shot 24-of-50 from deep and was voted second-team All-Summer League. Despite his effort he will have tough time finding playing time this season with Larry Nance Jr. and Julius Randle ahead of him on the depth chart.
