Kyle Lowry received pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory injections for his back over the weekend and has no timetable for his return.
Nick Nurse was hopeful that Lowry could return to the court shortly just yesterday but apparently that's not the case. It's still possible that he comes back soon — you can bet he's going to lobby his case to play against old buddy DeMar DeRozan on Thursday — but the Raptors figure to play it extremely safe with their star guard. Kawhi Leonard is going to have massive usage for the length of Lowry's absence while Fred VanVleet is worth using in standard leagues as the fill-in starter.
