Kyle Lowry was back in form on Sunday afternoon, notching 17 points, 11 assists, three steals, a block and four triples in 38 minutes.
The classic Lowry + Bench unit torched the Knicks in the fourth, allowing the stud guard to log so many minutes in a game that was decided very early in the frame. It may also have been a case of the team letting Lowry get his legs back before the playoffs roll around. He shot 5-of-10 from the floor, 4-of-9 from three and 3-for-3 from the line today in a nice bounceback from Friday in which he shot 5-of-14, 1-of-5 and 1-of-5, respectively. Lowry is a candidate to be rested on Wednesday but he might lobby to play – he’s only had three games back from injury and he’d get another chance to improve his conditioning in a low-pressure situation.
