Kyle Lowry capped off a clutch performance with a dagger shot to go along with 33 points (12-of-20 FG, 6-of-10 3PT), eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in Wednesday’s thrilling 125-122 double-OT win.
Lowry stepped up big time in the second half and hit multiple deep threes to keep the Raptors’ championship defense alive. His 3-point shooting was key in this game as the Celtics have stifled the Raptors on the offensive end and taken away almost every shot except those beyond the arc. He played 53 minutes through both overtime periods and, as expected, didn’t let up until the buzzer. He hit a clutch turnaround jumper to plunge the dagger into the Celtics’ chances in the final minutes. If Lowry’s identity as a playoff choker wasn’t already dead, it certainly is now.
