Kyle Lowry played 36 minutes on Monday, shooting 4-for-14 from the field and 4-for-8 from the floor for 14 points with two threes, two rebounds, four assists and four turnovers.
Dwane Casey said that Lowry’s elbow issue is why he was rested against Boston last Wednesday. Lowry said the rest didn’t help and that he needs to play through it, which is encouraging for owners who are scared of rest days. With the Raptors firmly holding on to the #2 seed in the East, it is a mystery as to why Lowry isn’t resting more at this point in the season. Several Raptors have received rest lately, but Lowry has only sat one game in the month of March and is averaging 38.4 minutes per game. He is only returning 6th round value for owners over the last two weeks. Stay tuned to @HoopBallTweets for more status updates on Lowry’s situation.
Lowry had elbow wrapped post-game, said he had it drained tonight. Doesnt think rest will help, said they tried that & needs to play thru it
