Kyrie Irving (right knee contusion) sat out Tuesday’s season finale against the Wizards.
Irving ended up playing 67 games this year, which isn’t all that bad considering the knee issues that were uncovered a season ago. He missed time with knee, back, hip, quad, shoulder and eye injuries, though no absence was longer than two games. Uncle Drew was predictably excellent whenever he was on the court, however, posting career-highs of 5.0 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 0.5 blocks to go with his 23.8 points, 1.5 steals and 2.6 threes on .487 from the field. While Irving’s off-court leadership and demeanor often bothered the Celtics fanbase, he remained a steady top-15 player for fantasy purposes. We wouldn’t expect much deviation next year whether he stays in Boston or heads for greener pastures.
