Kyrie Irving has not played full contact 5-on-5 yet but expects to be 100 percent for training camp, according to Jeff Goodman.
Irving is recovering from knee surgery that took place in early April. He originally was just getting a tension wire removed that had been bothering him but after the surgery it was found that Irving had an infection due to screws implanted in 2015. The second surgery removed the screws and gave him a prognosis of four-to-five months with the expectation he'd be healthy for camp. It would seem things are on track right now. The surgery is is not supposed to have any long term effects and his knee was structurally sound at the time of the injury so it should not be an added concern assuming he is ready for training camp.
