Kyrie Irving stepped up in the face of a tough matchup against the Warriors on Saturday, responding with 32 points on 12-of-27 shooting, adding six rebounds, 10 assists, four triples and two steals.
He played like an NBA title depended on it but alas his team still fell to the stacked starting five of the defending champs. Irving's exceeded expectations this season, delivering top-10 value in 9-cat. He missed Wednesday's game with the flu and his return impacted Terry Rozier, who was limited to scoring two points (1-of-4 shooting) and three rebounds in 19 minutes.
