The Lakers have acquired pick No. 39 in tomorrow's draft in exchange for a 2019 second-round selection and cash.
That future second-rounder will come via the Bulls. The Sixers were known to be shopping one of their second-rounders this season, as they had too many picks and not enough space. Philly has pulled off draft-and-stashes before but it makes more sense for them to spread the wealth across future seasons than add a number of prospects who can't develop under the team's watchful eye all at once. ESPN's Jonathan Givony has already speculated that the Lakers could use the pick on big man Mitchell Robinson, who was tied to the Lakers before his stock slipped in the past couple of weeks.
