The Los Angeles Lakers acquire Villanova guard Josh Hart with the last pick of the 2017 NBA Draft.
Hart played all four years in college and was named Big East Player of the Year in 2016-2017. He improved his scoring each year and finished his senior year with averages of 18.7 points 6.4 rebounds 2.9 assists. The Lakers add a player who has several years of college experience under his belt who finished with college career shooting splits of 51.1/38.9/72.0. Hart primarily scored by running and creating space off the ball. Creating his own offense is a weakness, lucky for him the Lakers drafted Magic 2.0. There is still a lot of speculation on what the Lakers are going to do with their roster, but Hart looks like he could contribute a la Malcolm Brogdon if given rotational minutes.
