LaMarcus Aldridge posted a playoff-best 34 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in Thursday’s win over the Rockets.
Aldridge played his best game of the postseason with Kawhi Leonard missing due to a sprained ankle. The Spurs needed someone to step up and fill a huge void on the offensive end and he answered the call. Aldridge punished the Rockets small ball lineup by corralling a game high five offensive rebounds and shot a superb 16-for-26 from the field. He and the Spurs have a date with the speedy Warriors, so it’ll be interesting to see how his role unfolds against their smaller lineups.
