LaMarcus Aldridge enjoyed his return to the Pacific Northwest, leaving the City of Roses with a win and 22 points, eight rebounds and three swats in his back pocket.
Aldridge shot 10-of-17 from the field and owners have to be pleased with his efficient scoring even if he couldn’t hit a three tonight. LMA is back into top-35 territory this season and seems to have bucked his decline for now, thanks in part to the Spurs tailoring their offense to suit his game rather than forcing Aldridge to be something he isn’t. While his numbers will definitely decline with the return of Kawhi Leonard, perhaps he’ll have an easier time delivering top-60 returns than previously thought. A hold isn’t the preferred choice, but it’s a perfectly acceptable one.
