Landry Shamet expected to play a lot of point guard this season

Doc Rivers said that he expects Landry Shamet to play a lot of point guard this season for the Clippers

Rivers continued to say that Shamet has a lot of traits similar to Stephen Curry, which of course is incredibly high praise. Clearly they view Shamet as a big part of this team, which is great news for his outlook as a mid-to-late round upside play.

LeBron James (groin soreness) has been officially listed as probable heading into Game 5 on Saturday.

After head coach Frank Vogel hinted that James would be available on Saturday, the injury report confirms his likely availability. This has been an ongoing issue for James but he is yet to miss any time because of it. The Lakers have an opportunity to wrap things up with a victory and James figures to feature heavily once again.

Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis (left ankle sprain) has been ruled questionable for Game 5 against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Davis rolled his ankle in the final quarter on Thursday but was able to see out the game. Head coach Frank Vogel appears confident Davis will be good to go on Saturday but we will need to wait until closer to tipoff before getting a final decision.

Dion Waiters

Dion Waiters (sore left groin) has been listed as questionable ahead of Game 5 vs. the Nuggets on Saturday.

Waiters has not played in almost three weeks as he continues to rehab his groin. The fact he has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable indicates he is getting closer to a return for the Lakers. With that being said, his availability will not automatically translate into playing time. Even if he is able to get back out there on Saturday, he is going to find it tough to crack the rotation given the team's recent success.

Danny Green

Danny Green (left finger volar plate injury) and Alex Caruso (sore right wrist) have both been assigned a probable tag heading into Game 5 against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Both players look set to take their place in the lineup barring any setbacks prior to tipoff. While it is good news for the Lakers, neither player has been able to provide consistent production thus far in the series. The Lakers will want all hands on deck as they look to advance to their first NBA Finals in over a decade.

Dell Demps has agreed to join the Jazz as an assistant coach for the 2020-21 season, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

After vacating the role of General Manager for the Pelicans, Demps has elected to shift gears and will now focus his attention on coaching. He will reunite with Quin Snyder after the pair worked together previously back in 2007. This is certainly a great addition for the Jazz who were narrowly ousted from the playoffs in the first round. Look for the team to make further changes as they look to get over the playoff hump that seems to be following them.
