Larry Nance Jr. hit 3-of-5 mid-range jumpshots in the Cavs’ victory over the Pistons.
“If they sag off me I will shoot it…I feel completely comfortable shooting it now,” Nance told Cleveland.com. The 25-year-old has been a major upgrade for the Cavs and fantasy owners with top-25 numbers over the past seven games. Now with Tristan Thompson (ankle) and Kevin Love (hand) expected to miss 8-10 games Nance will see extended minutes this month. Even when the entire frontcourt is healthy Nance should still play at least 25 minutes per game and could supplant both Thompson and Love for the starting center spot with his two-way abilities. The Cavs could move Love to his more natural position at power forward and LeBron James to small forward in order to keep Nance as a starter. This may be the way to go if Nance can continue to space the floor on offense which has been the only weakness to his game.
