Larry Nance Jr. came off the bench on Sunday and logged 21 minutes in his first game as a Cavalier, notching five points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Nance’s athleticism was on full display with a nasty dunk that had the bench on their feet in a blowout win. It’s a great fit with a team that needs a ton of work on defense even if he doesn’t ascend to the starting lineup. Tristan Thompson started and played 27 relatively invisible minutes, and the arrival of Nance could hurt him somewhat significantly. Look for Nance’s playing time to hover around this level if not slightly higher, and his all-around game could carry him to late-round value in Cleveland. He’s a decent add if you’re not thrilled with the bottom of your roster.
