Lauri Markkanen continued to struggle from the field on Monday, hitting 5-of-13 shots on his way to 13 points, seven boards, two steals and a block.
This is actually a great line for Markkanen as he was able to hit a 1-2-1 money counter line. His defensive averages are at a combined 1.2 on the year and his shooting is now under 40 percent which is expected of a high volume rookie shooter so his value will start to regress to normal levels. He was playing at an unsustainable top-50 level but has dropped outside of the top-150 over his past seven games. The return of Nikola Mirotic could also mean less minutes for Markkanen, but it looks like we’ve seen the peak value of Lauri already.
