Lauri Markkanen had a rough go of it on Friday, scoring only three points (1-of-10 FG, 0-for-5 3PT) and collecting five rebounds in 22 minutes in a loss to the Pacers.
Ok, so he's rusty. After missing 15 games with a right pelvic injury, this was only Markkanen's second game back. His per game rank sits just outside the top-100 on the year but his ability to ramp up his production this late in the season seems increasingly doubtful. The Bulls have plenty of minutes to go around, however, and Markkanen had been good prior to the injury. Coach Jim Boylen also announced that he and Otto Porter Jr. will be receiving more minutes going forward. If you've managed to stash Markkanen this long, you might as well use him. If he's on the wire, add him only if you have an open spot.
