LeBron James wasn’t quite in top form on Monday, finishing a loss to the Warriors with 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and two threes while committing seven turnovers and shooting 7-of-18 from the field.
James is the engine that makes the Cavs go but he was stifled at times by some great defensive efforts and simply wasn’t as good as we’ve grown to expect from LeBron. He was forced to play through plenty of contact as the refs made some questionable calls and non-calls either way, and credit the Warriors for making him take tough looks and fight through multiple bodies on his way to the rack. Obviously 20-6-6 is still a nice day of work, and LeBron is still in the argument for fantasy’s No. 1 player on the year. He’ll be better in the next one.
