LeBron James will not exercise his $35.6 million player option and will be an unrestricted free agent.
The dominoes of free agency should begin to fall as many teams and free agents have been waiting on James' decision. There are rumors of the possibility that James forms a super-team with the Lakers, but as of now everything is speculation and there is a chance James is taking a pay cut for the Cavs. James had a usage rate of 31.6 percent last season and that would be distributed amongst the remaining starters and increasing their fantasy outputs if he were to sign with another team. LeBron's fantasy stock should not change much, but will likely have a lower usage percentage heading in the 2018-19 season, as he expected to add or join some star players. All eyes on will be on James, as his decision will send ripples throughout free agency.
