Mario Hezonja had his finest game of the season on Wednesday, posting 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Hezonja has really taken to the starting lineup and has made a solid case for minutes even when Aaron Gordon returns. Unfortunately for Super Mario, that should be soon. Regardless, this is the type of dynamic performance that so many expected of the brash youngster when Orlando spent a high pick on him three years ago. They’ve been few and far between since he joined the league however, and it’d take some major moving and shaking for Hezonja to produce lines even half as nice as this on the regular.
