Lonnie Walker IV has torn the meniscus in his right knee and will undergo surgery on Monday.
Walker tore the same meniscus last fall before his season with Miami. He’ll be on the shelf for a while and the Spurs will play it safe with him when he is ready to return, so players in re-draft leagues can ignore Walker. This will also affect his dynasty stock as the knee injuries pile up. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Walker will be out for 6-to-8 weeks. The Spurs will need to lean more heavily on Patty Mills and Bryn Forbes at the shooting guard spot now.
