Lonzo Ball scored 18 points with 10 assists, two rebounds and three steals in Saturday's loss to the Rockets

Ball logged 36 minutes tonight and looked solid for the second straight game. He made four treys and did not turn the ball over at all. Injury concerns have always been problematic but if he can continue to replicate these types of games regularly he may be a darkhorse MIP candidate.

Rajon Rondo

Rajon Rondo was a major distributor against the Nuggets on Sunday, finishing with nine assists, three points (1-of-3 FG), four rebounds, one 3-pointer and one steal.

Rondo's performance was hindered by five turnovers during his 21 minutes of action but he remains an important component for the Lakers as they can generate easy looks thanks to Rondo's creativity on the offensive side of the ball. Playoff Rondo has clearly regained his bonafides as an assist specialist. Whether he can complement that with a reliable jumper will vary from night-to-night. Kyle Kuzma also faced turnover headaches in this contest, wrapping things up with four turnovers to accompany eight points and three boards. With little going for him besides picking up the slack as an off the bench scorer, Kuzma is going to have a difficult time earning major minutes if he fails to score efficiently.

Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap received 28 minutes during the Nuggets-Lakers showdown on Sunday, but he finished with just six points (2-of-6 FG), eight rebounds, one assist and three turnovers.

Millsap has now had four straight duds, but he is still a regular part of the Nuggets' rotation. Despite the Lakers rolling out bigger lineups that should give the slow-footed Millsap more opportunities to compete, he has not been able to find momentum over the first two games of this series. At this point, it's hard to imagine Millsap contributing much to the Nuggets' benefit. Jerami Grant also found himself in early foul trouble, allowing Millsap to receive some extra minutes in the first half. Grant finished with just seven points, one 3-pointer and three steals. He figures to see more than 25 minutes in Game 3 on Tuesday. Even for the comeback kids in Denver, that game figures to be a must-win.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope saw 31 minutes on Sunday versus the Nuggets, totaling 11 points (3-of-6 FG), two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two turnovers.

When his 3-pointer is falling, KCP makes for a solid complement to any Lakers' lineup thanks to his contributions on the defensive end. He's now had four straight games with double-digit scoring efforts, and the Lakers will continue to rely upon him until his 3-pointer goes missing. Alex Caruso has been another reliable option in this series, and he had a similar result with nine points (3-of-6 FG), two rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer over 29 minutes. The Lakers role-players have gotten off to good starts in this matchup.

Michael Porter Jr. put together 15 points (6-of-9 FG), four rebounds and two 3-pointers against the Lakers on Sunday.

Despite the solid shooting Porter only received 20 minutes and was stuck in foul trouble during this one. He could be an important factor as the Nuggets search for reliable scorers beyond Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, but MPJ is also going to be a popular target for the Lakers whenever they are looking for easy buckets.

Danny Green

Danny Green had an up-and-down performance against the Nuggets on Sunday, ending the night with 11 points (4-of-14 FG), five rebounds, one assist, three 3-pointers, three steals and one block.

This was a classic Danny Green line, and while it would've been a pleasure to see stronger shooting from the field, the triples, swipes and swats are where you make your living with Green in fantasy. His shot has not been as reliable this season, but Green has always been a streaky shooter, and he will continue to play a big role in the Lakers' rotation.
