Lonzo Ball arrived in training camp with some revamped mechanics on his jump shot, which finally looks a lot more fluid and natural.
“When I got back from rehabbing, just focusing on my jump shot… it got tweaked a little bit. Just a lot of work, a lot of repetition, trying to get it ready before the season." Lonzo added that he worked on his shot with coach Fred Vinson and the hope is that he could see a dramatic increase in his 3-point percentage after averaging a mere 31.5 percent during his first two seasons. The biggest change thought will have to come at the free-throw line, where he shot a disastrous 41.7 percent last season, leading to him being hesitant to seek contact and to get to the free throw line. The change of scenery has worked in his favor so far and it remains to be seen whether the new form will have more success than the old one.
