Luke Babbitt has resumed his old role for the Heat, which means he’s got a permanent green light to rise and fire from behind the arc.
Erik Spoelstra has been asking Babbitt to keep shooting, saying “He is an exceptional shooter. Exceptional. We want to maximize that as much as possible and then eventually teams start to adjust and spacing becomes a big positive for us just because it will open up driving lanes.” While Babbitt didn’t see the court in his first two games back in Miami and only scored six points across his first seven games (with three DNPs), he’s been thrust into the starting power forward spot and has averaged 10.5 points with seven threes in his the last two contests. Deep league owners can feel free to give Babbitt a look as a 3-point specialist.
