Malik Monk scored 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting (adding five triples) with three assists and two rebounds off the bench in Tuesday’s loss to the Knicks.
Monk provided a nice spark for the Hornets in his 27 minutes off the bench. We’ve seen him provide some big scoring nights off the bench, but his lack of defensive stats and inconsistency keep him off the standard league radar. Cody Zeller (seven points, seven rebounds, one block, 17 minutes) was quiet as well off the bench. Zeller is at least worth keeping an eye on in standard leagues, but his upside is severely limited by the presence of Dwight Howard.
