The Hornets have changed their diagnosis of guard Malik Monk's right thumb injury and he apparently has a sprain rather than the original fractured diagnosis from Friday.
It's unclear whether he might be able to play in any remaining games at the NBA Summer League. The Hornets are guaranteed at least two more games in the elimination tournament that concludes that event. Regardless, he should be able to resume basketball activities way sooner than the intitial 6-8 weeks timeframe.
