Marc Gasol scored 21 points (1-of-6 from distance) and added seven boards, three assists and a block in 24 minutes in Friday’s win over the Hawks.
Gasol looked like his old self out there (pun intended) and while he’s still effective we think he might have his minutes reduced as Memphis tried to keep him healthy all year long. He’s still a top-50 play in 8/9-cat. His backup, the much loved rookie Jaren Jackson Jr. added six points and five rebounds in 18 minutes which shows that even supremely talented rookies will have their ups and downs. Jackson should still be given a look in the later rounds as his ability to hit threes and block shots means he can maintain some value even with limited minutes.
