Marc Gasol posted an ugly 4-of-16 shooting line but luckily connected on 10-of-11 at the charity stripe, finishing Tuesday’s loss with 18 points, six rebounds, one steal and four blocks in 38 minutes.
The Grizzlies have absolutely no shooting threats on the roster right now and teams can comfortably pack the paint and sell out to stop Gasol. While that’s resulted in a career-low .417 mark from the field, Gasol is retaining early-round value thanks to his points, rebounds, assists, 3-pointers and blocks. Being the one and only option has its drawbacks, but it also means that Gasol will have too much opportunity to ever truly post duds.
