Marc Gasol was an ugly 6-of-19 from the field on Thursday, helped along by a poor 1-of-7 showing from behind the arc in a dispiriting loss to the Suns.
Gasol managed to rack up a double-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks but the efficiency has to be better if he wants to keep his foothold as a top-35 player. We bet on that happening though it’s no surprise that he’s seen a dip given the lack of complementary firepower on the roster. It’s been a very trying year in Memphis and the trade rumors are starting to swirl, but Gasol should keep his early-round value no matter what unfolds.
