Marc Gasol bottled up Joel Embiid again on Monday night and finished with six rebounds, nine assists and two blocks, though he also scored three points on 1-of-8 shooting.
Gasol also missed a pair of free throws late in the fourth after tweaking his knee when Ben Simmons clipped him while diving for the ball, though things ended up working out for the Raptors anyway. Though he remains a vital part of Toronto's defense and the overall offensive flow, he sits with just top-170 value on the season. His 2-point percentage has cratered — he's .409 from deep but just .333 from the field — and we'd bet on a turnaround there, so this isn't a jump-ship situation despite how frustrating it's been so far. The Raptors might not be able to afford a rest day for Gasol and his knees given their current injury report.
