Marcus Morris played 28 minutes off the Celtics’ bench on Thursday and scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds in the win.
Morris was bumped to the bench in this one in favor of Aaron Baynes (two points, 14 minutes) who did not do much. Morris should continue to bring late-round value whether Brad Stevens utilizes him as a starter or as a reserve. The Celtics need some extra scoring off the bench and Morris will likely be tasked to provide that punch on some nights.
