• Marcus Smart
    G, Boston Celtics

Marcus Smart struggled with his shot (3-of-12) but his intensity took care of business as he finished with nine points, nine boards, three boards, two triples and a steal in Monday’s Game 1 match up with the Sixers.

Smart’s presence forced the Sixers to matchup Robert Covington with him as they didn’t want J.J. Redick trying to guard a ball handler. This helped Jayson Tatum go off on Monday and it will be interesting to see how Brad Stevens deals with Jaylen Brown’s return given how well the Celtics played on Monday. Either way Smart is locked into a major role with the Celtics and will play around 30 minutes every game.
