Marcus Smart put up a serviceable 13 points and five rebounds in extended minutes against the Sixers.
Kyrie Irving missed the game, so Smart started in his place. The key here was that he didn’t use this extra opportunity to miss his usual nightly quota of 500 jump shots (6-for-11 on the night). The low shooting percentage has been the struggle with Smart his whole career. He will return to his bench role when Irving returns, and this recent stretch doesn’t move the needle on his ownership status.
