Marcus Smart is expected to receive clearance to return six weeks after receiving surgery on his torn UCL, putting him on track to potentially return on April 27th.
Smart has also been cleared to engage in non-contact shooting work. He said he was hoping to return for the Eastern Conference Finals, but this could have him returning sometime in the second round. He's a name to file away for those of you who will participate in playoff leagues. We'll have a better sense of timing once he returns to contact practices but for now it looks like he'll be back ahead of his own initial prognosis.
