Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that Mario Chalmers could be a possible option for the Cavs to fill their need for a backup point guard.
Chalmers averaged a career-high 10.8 points per game for the Grizzlies last season before tearing his Achilles’. The 30 year-old point guard has been medically cleared to return to the court, but there is still doubt whether he will be 100 percent before the season begins. Norris Cole is another option for the Cavs if they decide to pass on Chalmers.
