Mario Hezonja got some run at the four on Wednesday and ended up leading the Magic bench in minutes played.
While those power forward minutes came with Jeff Green out of the lineup, this could be a more common look going forward with the playoffs all but out of reach for Orlando. It took Frank Vogel a long time (and a trade) to use his younger players at seemingly sensible spots, but maybe he’s learned and will be more flexible going forward. Super Mario didn’t deliver in his time on the court, shooting just 3-of-12 with eight points, seven boards, two assists and two triples. The minutes were there and at least the rebounds were nice, but we’re not holding our breath for a breakout anytime soon.
