Mario Hezonja lead the Magic in scoring on Monday with 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting with three 3-pointers, six rebounds, four steals and three blocks.
Hezonja has been in the zone over the past eight games, averaging 16.4 points, 2.5 triples, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 0.8 blocks on 50.0 percent shooting. It’s baffling that the Magic didn’t pick up his option and Hezonja will make for a fine player on another squad next season as he’s showing much more confidence in his shooting ability. The blocks are a bit of an anomaly, but he had another three block game just a few weeks ago. He might not have another game like this for the rest of the season, but he’s making the Magic organization look like fools with his recent play. When Aaron Gordon returns his value will sink again, but he’s a guy to hang onto in dynasty leagues.
