Mario Hezonja was one of Orlando’s most effective players in Wednesday’s 117-104 loss, shooting 5-of-7 to finish with 17 points, three triples and two steals in only 19 minutes of action.
Hezonja simply continues to ball this season, and his breakout should have the Magic looking mighty silly when he heads for greener pastures in the offseason. It’s been a long time coming for the braggadocious forward but he’s finally looked like the player that warranted such a high draft selection in the first place. He won’t be the rock solid player he was when Aaron Gordon was down with an injury but he’s more than earned a steady role off the bench. Hezonja should still be owned in most formats even if he’s no longer starting.
