Mario Hezonja said that an injury to his tendon slowed him down all of last year.
The Magic used the fifth pick on Hezonja in the 2015 draft and it hasn’t quire panned out, he had a subpar rookie year and was basically used as a role player for the majority of his sophomore season. He’s been practicing in LA and working on his game with the hopes of making his third year a breakout season. Last season he averaged 4.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 14.8 minutes and just didn’t get the job done. The Magic’s backcourt is stacked with the likes of Terrence Ross, Evan Fournier, Johnathan Simmons and Arron Afflalo so it’ll be hard for Hezonja to make a big dent in the rotation. He isn’t worth drafting next year unless your’re in an extremely deep league.
