Markelle Fultz's agent announced that Fultz has been diagnosed with Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, which affects nerves between the neck and shoulder and results in "abnormal functional movement and range of motion."
While Fultz is out indefinitely, Woj reports that there's optimism that he can return in three-to-six weeks. Raymond Brothers, Fultz's agent, went out of his way to declare this a physical injury — it's going to be treated with physical therapy. We know Fultz is dealing with a legitimate injury but it probably won't stop the peanut gallery from speculating about any mental blocks that might be limiting his game. This seems like a pretty obvious PR move from the Fultz camp, and we'll see what other teams feel comfortable offering in trade talks.
