Markelle Fultz struggles in 21 minutes

Markelle Fultz scored only three points and chipped in one rebound, four assists and a steal in Friday's blowout loss to the Celtics.

Fultz was 1-of-8 from the field and missed his lone three point attempt. His assists and steal were nice but he will need to contribute much more to be standard-league relevant. DJ Augustin currently is the favourite to play the majority of the minutes at point guard.

Rajon Rondo
PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo handed out eight assists to with his nine points on 4-of-10 shooting on Tuesday as the Lakers bowed to the Nuggets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Rondo added two boards and three steals to the box but also committed four turnovers and was called for four fouls in this one. His impact as a playmaker off the bench has been big for the Lakers, but they're going to need him to dig deep and come up with a bit more, especially when the Nuggets are taking their game into the stratosphere.

Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis didn't have a game-winning 3-pointer on Tuesday's Game 3 loss, but still managed to do some solid damage on the scoreboard with 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field and 9-of-10 shooting at the line.

AD was light with his work on the glass tonight, mustering just two rebounds. He added one assist and one steal while also missing all four shot attempts from downtown. It wasn't his best performance and, yes, we've seen better, but AD and LeBron James need to get more and better support from the Laker role-players if they're going to eliminate the Nuggets in the WCF.

LeBron James (sore right groin) triple-doubled in Tuesday's Game 3 loss to the Nuggets, tallying 30 points on 14-of-23 shooting, adding 10 rebounds, 11 assists, one 3-pointer, two steals and two blocks for an overall well-rounded performance.

Tonight was an example of why James, alone, is not enough for the Lakers to count on. The Nuggets simply have too many weapons that can offset James' production. From a stats perspective, there's nothing to scoff at in James' line. He did it on both ends, but simply lacked the support he needed to secure the win. The good news is that his performance tonight shows that the right groin issue is more of a non-factor at this point.

Monte Morris
PG, Denver Nuggets

Monte Morris was the Nuggets' top scorer off the bench on Tuesday with 14 points (5-of-7 FG, 2-of-4 3PT), making an impact in their much-needed win in Game 3.

Morris was able to add just one rebound and one assist to the box score, but his 14 points in 20 minutes were a far superior effort than the seven points in 32 minutes that Gary Harris was to muster. Given Harris' struggles, guys like Morris will need to step up their game, similar to tonight, if the Nuggets want to advance to the NBA Finals.

Nikola Jokic
C, Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokic made 9-of-14 shots from the field on Tuesday, en route to his 22 points which were complemented by 10 rebounds, one 3-pointer, five assists, one steal and one block.

Jokic has had it rough in this series as the Lakers have been actively throwing warm bodies at him in the paint to throw him off his game. Thankfully, Jokic still managed to deliver the goods, but at a cost of five turnovers. Tonight the Nuggets showed that if they are able to play to their strengths, they can take it to the Lakers, so seeing them even up this series is something that cannot be discounted at all.
