Markieff Morris finally had himself a game against the Pistons on Friday night, accumulating 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers in the Wizards’ victory.
With the exception of two solid games in mid-November, Morris really hasn’t done much of anything this season. He’s had 16th round value to this point so he’s barely been rosterable through a month and a half. But tonight was an excellent game for Kieff. It was his first game with more than 10 shot attempts this season, going 10-for-16. It was also his first game with multiple 3-pointers since November 15. We’ll have to wait and see if this was a turning point in Morris’ season as the Wizards need all the help they can get with John Wall out.
