Markieff Morris was back in action on Saturday, shooting 9-of-13 and finishing a home loss with 21 points, five boards, three triples and a steal.
Morris played 30 minutes and didn’t seem to show any lingering effects of injury. After a dismal 2015-16 where his uncomfortable situation in Phoenix derailed his fantasy appeal, Morris has bounced back to top-75 levels. He can give you a little bit of everything so long as you can handle his stretches of awful shooting. He won’t be the same steal in next year’s drafts, but owners who pounced on MM in the late rounds this year turned a very tidy profit. He’s got two games left to close the year, though he could very easily be rested once Washington’s position gets locked in.
