Markieff Morris wasn’t at his best on Thursday, finishing with just 10 points, five boards, an assist and a steal during Game 3.
Morris shot 3-of-7 in only 19 minutes. The fact that he’s out there is a positive, but the low minute total suggests that he’s still fighting through his ankle sprain a bit and the team was able to keep him on the pine with a comfortable lead all night. He’ll always be the third option at best with Washington’s stellar backcourt but has really taken a backseat with the resurgence of Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter’s big night. He’ll get back to bigger lines as his health improves.
