Markieff Morris played 38 minutes in a win against the Bucks on Monday, finishing with 18 points on 7-of-11 from the field to go with 3-of-4 from the line, one 3-pointer, four boards, two steals, one block and two turnovers.
Morris has been a top-120 player on the year and continues to be the primary power forward for the Wizards. Many thought that he would end up in Scott Brooks’s dog house or have Otto Porter usurp his minutes at power forward, while Kelly Oubre Jr. takes the small forward minutes. Morris has held his ground and should be a key cog in the Wizards starting lineup for the foreseeable future.
