Marquese Chriss picked up four blocks in Friday night’s loss, adding 10 points, a triple, seven rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.
Chriss had a monster shot blocking stretch late last season and you can see the obvious cash counter upside that makes him a great pick in the late-middle rounds, if not earlier. It wasn’t all good, however, as Chriss shot just 2-of-8 from the field and 5-of-8 from the free throw line while committing five turnovers. The shooting (especially the free throws) will be far more troublesome than the turnovers this season, but everything else is locked into place. Chriss offers tremendous upside if you’re willing to put a few points of free throw percentage at risk.
