Marvin Bagley III's (lateral right foot sprain) season is done, as he is reportedly being shut down and held out of the upcoming NBA restart in Orlando.
This is a tough pill for Kings fans to swallow, although it might be the right move for the franchise. They are still fighting for a playoff spot and could feasibly overtake the Pelicans, the Blazers and the Grizzlies for the West's final postseason bid and the right to play the top seed in the first round. That does not sound particularly appetizing and the Kings would rather let Bagley III have the extra rest and rehabilitation time. He only managed to take the floor in a paltry 13 games for the Kings this season, averaging 14.2 PPG and 7.5 RPG. It remains to be seen if Bagley III can stay healthy for an entire, 82-game regular season.
